Guided Grounding Session

A short practice for when you need to feel safe in your body

Hey guys,

Today I'm going to be walking you through a very simple but powerful, emotional regulation strategy called: Grounding.

Grounding

This is a tool that can be applied pretty much anytime, anywhere. You can do it:

  • Sitting

  • Standing

    • It's a really a quick way to get back into your body when you're starting to feel a bit dysregulated.

Determining if this is a High-Payoff Tool for You

When testing a new self-regulation strategy to see if it’s a fit for your toolkit- remember to start by doing your assessment tool.

Today, I'm going to use the neck rotation test.

Turning my neck one direction. Noticing what I see. And then turning my neck to the other direction and noticing what I see.

Guided Grounding Session

Now we're going to practice a grounding routine.
