How to Break Up With Good Girl Conditioning

Finding safety in being your authentic self
2

Hi guys, happy weekend.

I want to drop in this week's podcast episode. I'm really excited to share this one with you. This week, I'm addressing the topic of perfectionism and people-pleasing and how this impacts us as women with ADHD and how we can start to take steps towards greater authenticity and feeling safe in our bodies to release habits that aren't serving us and oftentimes make us emotionally, mentally, and even physically sick.

So, if this is you, if you have struggled with perfectionism, if you have struggled with overcoming the societal pressures of being a good girl, being the pleaser, being likable, sacrificing your own needs, suppressing your true feelings, emotions, and authentic self in exchange for love, acceptance, and safety, then this week's episode is for you!

I'm going to be walking you through some simple steps and showing you how you can start to create a shift in your life in a way that does not feel overwhelming to your nervous system and creates a sense of safety rather than shut down.

When we try to do too many things at once, our nervous system will get overwhelmed, which can add to our dysregulation. So, really being gentle with ourselves when we’re shifting patterns deeply ingrained into our psyche, habits, and what feels safe to our nervous system is really important.

I'll drop the episode below. Let me know if you like it. I would love to hear from you!
