Hey guys,

Today we're going to be talking about the Vagus nerve and how we can tone it to create more flexibility within our nervous system. This is going to support us in moving in and out of the different states with greater ease and flow.

What’s the vagus nerve? How does it help me self-regulate?

The vagus nerve is the longest nerve in the body, running from the base of our seat up to our brain, and connecting all the major organs within our body.

  • The vagus nerve is responsible for carrying all kinds of information.

  • It allows the brain to release dopamine.

  • It promotes states of restfulness by regulating our breathing, our heart rate, our digestion.

  • And helps us to return to this balanced functioning within our nervous system.
